I got some stellar Ashmead's from Samascott's in NY this year. The Northern Spy and Sonata I encountered were also delicious. I don't know of anyone around here who grows Cox's Orange Pippin, at least until the tree in my yard starts bearing. I have yet to taste Wickson or Chestnut, though for the former, again hopefully the home orchard will come through.
The apples look delicious. Nice and crisp... a reminder of the simple things in life... thanks for sharing.

DeleteLots of places still grow Macoun (including the above), thank goodness, so not sure where I got this one.
Oh and I think the Chestnuts must have been from Kimball's too. Mack's, in Londonderry, grows these as well.
