Belmont farewell

Vegitables spread out benieth a tens, benieth gray skies

There is something a little forelorn about the last market of the year.

Today was Belmont's turn to take a bow, following Arlington yesterday and Lexington on Tuesday.

The sky is gray. There are plenty of apples, but the trees where they grew are bare.

In the cities, including nearby Somerville, the markets continue until Thanskgiving. Somerville also has a winter market.

But today is the suburban swan song, until next year.

  1. Come to Dorchester — the Codman Square winter farmers’ market rocks! Also, Allandale Farm’s farmstand in JP is open until Christmas.
