Summer triangle

Clockwise from top: Jersey Mac, Gingergold, Pristine ¶

Just three apple varieties at farmers market today: Jersey Mac, Gingergold, and Pristine.

I don't care a lot for Jersey Mac, and suspect the Gingergolds to be a week or so   early for New England, but got a bunch of those lovely Pristines.

Other parts of the world are further into the harvest, but our time is coming.

What's ripe where you live?

  1. Western WI: Those pristine look gorgeous! Sounds like they tasted great as well. I’m still mostly on peaches here, although I did manage to dry a few apples.
