During my Californa trip I found these playful apples at the sculpture garden of the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park (San Francisco).

Why are they upside down? Where are the russets? Are they good keepers?
All questions the artists leave unresolved to engage the viewer.
The work invites other kinds of interaction as well.
