McShay correction

After I published my annual apple ratings last week, I realized I had goofed.

McShay, above, did not get the one-star rating it deserves.

This isn't a change of heart, rather a kind of bookkeeping correction.

McShay is a crisp, well balanced member of the Mac family with a very pleasing flavor set.

It is certainly "worth choosing." I wish I had some peak samples right now.

My non-blogging life has been crowded lately, and I just didn't put McShay on the right list when I began to work up last week's ratings post.

More bookkeeping

Since this is a correction rather than a rethink, I am changing things now rather than waiting until 2026.

But consequently, some of the numbers in my ratings report are off by one.

There are 193 one-star varieties, not 192. And four, not five, of this year's apples did not receive any stars.
