In some places the apple harvest has already started, and the earliest ones (like Striped June) are almost done. Are you seeing Yellow Transparents and other early types yet?
Tom: yes. I've heard from folks in warmer places where the harvest has been ongoing for a month or more. Here in New England we still have a few weeks to go, I think.
The earliest earlies I am used to seeing are Vista Bella, Paula Red, and Lodi. Yellow Transparent usually shows up one or two weeks after that.
