And the seasons they go up and down

Okay, this one is a bit tricky. Blogger has a hidden view that graphically shows the cyclical, seasonal nature of this blog.

Here's how.

2. Scroll to the bottom of the page until all the pictures load. (You'll have to do this a couple of times.)

3. Scroll back to the top and click the Date link (just above the top right corner of the first picture).

This organizes things by date posted, which typically lags date eaten. Winter and spring posts are either held back from the Fall or else found in supermarkets.

Someday maybe I'll be able to link directly to this view, which gives my own photo gallery a run for its money.

  1. If you plotted visits to the site, I wonder if you'd see the same seasonality? I was using this site most heavily when researching varieties to plant in my own yard (meaning Jan/Feb).

    1. @Anonymous, it's flattering to supposed I might have been helpful. As you must have noticed, I have very little to say about how easy different varieties are to grow, and in what climates and soils. I hope you have better sources for that!

I don't retain web logs, but generally I find that readership is seasonal, as you might expect, peaking with the harvest.

There is an uptick in interest about scionwood in late Winter. We're now entering the slowest part of the year, when I am reduced to posting trivial (but I hope fun) things like this.

Also, readership grows every year, seasonally adjusted, which is gratifying.

Thanks for dropping by! Best of luck with your trees.
