They are fairly biennial and quite vigorous - I mostly juice them as they don't keep well and I find them too sweet for my liking.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00909311830959776431noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8647355176632077968.post-6599914770659186982018-10-11T21:39:53.683-04:002018-10-11T21:39:53.683-04:00The speed with which these comments appeared shows...The speed with which these comments appeared shows how passionate people are about this distinctive apple!

Plenty more comments in the 2011 review, too.Adamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06245776593991049317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8647355176632077968.post-45609926158819992582018-10-11T08:37:18.727-04:002018-10-11T08:37:18.727-04:00Along with Sweet 16 I also planted Snow Sweet and ...Along with Sweet 16 I also planted Snow Sweet and Zestar because of their being parents of the Honeycrisp and Sweetango respectfully. Zestar is a early apple with short season of crispness but excellent flavor I found. Like the Topaz I received my first fruit this year.

The cherry flavour was present though not as sweet as I would have expected. I believe impatience got the better of me - next year I'm waiting longer into October. Hopefully I'll have more than 2 apples to sample next time.Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01904055462102089711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8647355176632077968.post-55449825764542632062018-10-10T09:20:04.253-04:002018-10-10T09:20:04.253-04:00With the addition of 5 of these Sweet 16 apple tre...With the addition of 5 of these Sweet 16 apple trees to my small one acre orchard I’m definitely hoping to see if this cherry lifesaver flavor comes thru.
