Apples on the Web: Fruit Maven

Out in San Diego—far from dour new England in more than miles—the Fruit Maven holds court.

Her stylish, informative blog serves up fruit of all kinds and from different angles: recipes, drinks, even geometry.

The Maven's portfolio is broader than mine, but she includes some apple reviews; also lots of citrus, some pears, stone fruit, and a little quince, among other delights.

Her reviews feature no-apologies opinions, a star rating system, and gorgeous photographs. She eats what she finds in local markets, which includes some great stuff I've never heard of.

More than that, this is the place to go if you want a dose of lively fruit attitude, a whiff of SoCal cool, or to accessorize your fruit or your self.

We had snow flurries today in New England; meanwhile the Maven complains of 80° temperatures and makes Bergamot iced tea. Don't you want to be in that number?

  1. Ohhh! This has to be my favorite description ever for Fruit Maven. Thank you so much! This made my day! Maybe I should make this my "About" page.
